Contest AGORA has been launched

For a sixth consecutive year Platform AGORA will award Chitalishtes that together with the local residents contributed to better life and wellbeing of the locals fostering change in their town or village.

Contest AGORA is for those Chitalishtes that serve their initial role of a unifying centre for active local residents with innovative thinking.

The Contest Jury will select 5 finalists among the applications in five categories:
- "Community in Development";
- "Solidarity and Humanity";
- "Art and Culture for Development";
- "Perspectives for Growth";
- "Most Productive Partnership".

One of those 5 finalists will receive the Contest AGORA 2014 grand award according to the vote of the audience during the official ceremony that will be held on March 12th, 2015 in Sofia, Hotel "Ramada Sofia", hall "Diamond".

The event is organized by Platform AGORA, financially supported by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and in partnership with PRoWay Communication Agency, the University Press "St. Kliment Ohridski", Hotel "Ramada Sofia", PocketBook and with the media support of the Bulgarian National Radio, dir.bg, dnes.bg and ngobg.info (Information Portal of NGOs in Bulgaria).

For a forth consecutive year in the framework of the Contest AGORA, the Ministry of Culture will award a Chitalishte - Contest participant with a special certificate "Contribution to the Development of Chitalishtes".
