We Present the Festival "Banatski Culinary Delights 2011" - A Rich Palette of Flavors, Colors and Emotions"

| The Start of the Festival |
On this day, people of all ages went through complete makeover dressed in their forefathers' clothes and recreated the unique spirit and atmosphere of times long gone. The festival program was interesting, interactive and diverse - there was something for everyone. At the village center in front of the Chitalishte where the stage was situated during the whole day dances and songs were performed.

The accent of the program was Mr. Ivan Zvezdev who as a Chairperson of the competent jury tasted and evaluated the dishes of all guests from neighboring villages prepared following traditional recipes. After the evaluation, all visitors were able to taste the culinary delights presented at the festival.
The more curious and active guests had the opportunity to visit three of the houses where the locals demonstrated how an Easter cake is made, as well as "raidushcheta" and "treski". In addition to the culinary delights the festival goers enjoyed cultural events visiting the house of the famous sculptor Prof. Kiril Meskin. Later on, at one of the typical Banat houses, the guests took part in a ritual "Bride's Leaving the Father's Home". That ritual was recreated with a visible emotion and touched the audience with its authenticity, making them feel the joy and sorrow of the family members' separation.
