

"Municipal Fund for Support of Local Initiatives – Montana Municipality" has been launched

On October 13th, 2017 Montana Municipality announced an open call for proposals for support of local initiatives with financial resources from a specific fund resulting from the partnership of Platform AGORA and Montana Municipality. The Regulation concerning the organization and management of the fund was approved with Decision № 552/27.07.2017 of the Montana Municipal Council. The announcement and application form are published and accessible on the web site of Montana Municipality. The deadline for submission of the applications is November 13th, 2017.
This is the third fund for support of local initiatives within Platform AGORA's project "Active Communities: Building Capacity for Change", supported by the America for Bulgaria Foundation. The first fund started in Karlovo municipality and the next one in Dryanovo municipality.
The allocated amount from Montana Municipality is 10 000 BGN and the Platform AGORA contribution is 8 000 BGN.
On October 17th, 2017 at the Municipal Youth Center - Montana an informational session will be held. Mr. Emilia Lissichkova, Chairperson of Platform AGORA's Board of Trustees will present then the guidelines and conditions of the launched first open session of the fund.
The applicants for support from the Fund could be organizations, Chitalishta and civic groups that are willing to implement initiatives benefitting the local communities. That could be non-profit organizations, registered according to the requirements of the Law on Not-for-profit Legal Entities, Chitalishta, registered in compliance with the Chitalishta Act, local cultural institutions and informal civic groups, functioning on the territory of Montana Municipality.
