The Tourist Information Center in Momchilovci Welcomed Its First Visitors

Despite the low temperatures and the heavy snowfall in Momchilovci on March 06th, 2010 the newly opened office of the Tourist Information Center was packed with residents and guests. Mrs. Dora Yankova, Mayor of Smolyan Municipality greeted the people of Momchilovci for the successful implementation of the local initiative and pointed out the importance of joint activities, commitment to specific activities and having a vision for the future. The event provided an opportunity to Mrs. Maria Nikova, Mayor of Momchilovci to express sincere acknowledgement and gratefulness to the local community for their active, hard work and partnership.
Chitalishte "Svetlina", Momchilovci was awarded with a Certificate for Civic Initiative - Tourist Information Center on behalf of AGORA by Mrs. Emilia Lissichkova, Chairperson of the Platform. The opening of the Center was honored and attended by representatives of AGORA Platform, America for Bulgaria Foundation, Smolyan and Momchilovci municipal administration, many local residents and guests.
Traditionally, for the smooth operation of the Center and its activities in public benefit a ceremony was held by Bishop Konstantiiski Antonyi in co-service with father Nikolay Rangelov.
The Center's ribbon was cut by Mrs. Emilia Lissichkova, Chairperson of the AGORA Platform and Mr. Lenko Lenkov, Director, Programs for Civil Society, America for Bulgaria Foundation.
